Annual Memorial Day Ceremony

The Natalia Veterans Memorial Monument Association in conjunction with the City of Natalia and the Natalia Municipal Development District will remember, honor and pay tribute to all military personnel who gave their lives in the service of our country on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at 7:00 pm.  We are inviting everyone to come join us. 

Joining us for this years Ceremony will be members of the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 8397 of an Antonio Texas.  The Post is located at 2541 W. Southcross.  Post Chaplain Rick Sandoval will give the Invocation, Post Commander Charleen Hernandez will give a speech on Memorial Day.  Following the speech the names of the service men who gave the Ultimate sacrifice will be read out to those in attendance.  Following the names the  Post Honor Guard will provide a three-volley rifle salute (signifying Duty, Honor and Country), and TAPS will be rendered.  The rifle Honor Guard members on the firing team are: Post Cmdr Charleen Hernandez, Ricardo Cortez, Rudy Longoria, Robert Garza, John O'Hanlon, Martin Torres, Cris Vieyra and Alfredo Dominguez. 

Additionally, Memorial Day is the official beginning of the Monument Name Drive for 2024.  Forms will be available on that day or you can go to the City of Natalia website to download the form.  End of the name drive will September 16th.
